“Accidents often produce the best solutions…Only you can recognize the difference between an accident and your original intent”

Hey there, I’m Carlos. I started my journey into UX in 2020 at Kent State University’s master’s program and have been diving deeper ever since. I’m passionate about design and interaction principles and see UX as a lens through which to understand and address all kinds of problems.

I worked as a graphic designer at Arhaus Furniture for 3 years and got an amazing opportunity to work as a software engineer at Bank of America in Charlotte, NC, After putting myself out there by communicating my interest and demonstrating my skills, I was finally able to get the UX position I’ve been working to get for 4 years!

Now that I‘m here the work only continues. I aim to master the UX process - to intimately understand the research methods that undergird design decisions - and to refine and expand my design skills to create truly artistic and striking experiences.

Parkour, urban exploration, and rabbit holes on YouTube are how I spend my time when not designing. Thanks for reading and I hope you check back from time to time to see what I’m working on.
